EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR
"A Good Place to Start"

Need a good place to start? Kelly Severtson’s education seminar is exactly that. Whether you are just beginning your journey as a tattoo artist or are a seasoned veteran looking for some inspiration, this class aims to give you that push you need. Examine what makes a good tattoo and what can be done to more objectively critique your own work.

Additionally, Kelly will be giving a step-by-step look into his own creative process, from reference collection, to image making, to preparing for the tattoo itself. The focus will primarily be on the use of iPads and Procreate, however, pen-and-paper types need not be discouraged. The valuable information presented will be applicable cross-platform for your tools of choice.

At the close of the seminar, Kelly will execute the tattoo and all class attendees will be invited to stay and watch. During this time, he will field questions regarding his method and techniques. Following the tattoo’s completion, Kelly will be offering 15-minute one-on-one portfolio critiques for $25 after the seminar.

Date: Saturday, September 29
Time: 9 am to noon
Location: Upstairs Meeting Room | Veterans Memorial Arena
Cost: $75 for the class. $25 for 15-minute one-on-one portfolio critiques.
