Thursday, September 23 from 5 pm to 8 pm "Tattoo Design and the Principals of Image-Making (Emphasis on Digital Design)" $65
Have you ever wanted to understand exactly what is going on when you make art? Do you ever look at a piece of art and think, "Dang, that's cool. How did they do that?" Have you ever done a drawing that just didn't quite come out the way you envisioned in your head? This class is for you. We are gonna break it all down for you and then we are gonna build you back up. This class is about sharpening our tools and getting to know our own brains!
Friday, September 24 from 10 am to 4 pm (2 pm break for health inspection) "Crisp Bold Techniques" $100
Kelly's style is often described as 'smooth', 'buttery', 'crisp,' and 'bold.' It's a batch of qualities that make his work unique and recognizable while being legible and timeless. Attend this seminar and you'll get your first crack at what's under the ol' wizard's hat. He will go over what kind of machines, needles, and pigments he uses, but more importantly, he will answer questions about why he uses them. A clever student will walk away with an understanding of Kelly's methods and how they can be applied to any style or tattoo
