The Roughrider Ink & Iron Expo is an event combining two separate genres that align when we compare the skill, artistry, and expression shared by tattoos and motorcycles. Over 60 artists will be tattooing on-site along with 130+ custom-built motorcycles on display throughout the venue.
Roughrider is pleased to provide various entertainment during the weekend including Blue Belle’s Burlesque, live music, and an appearance from Danielle Colby of American Pickers. Numerous vendors from some of the region’s top clothing, jewelry, therapeutic massage, insurance, and motorcycle shops will also be present at the event.

Returning for 2017 is the popular Custom Helmet Silent Auction sponsored by Indian Motorcycles. Helmets donated by Biltwell Inc. will be decorated by motorcycle and tattoo shops along with local artists where all proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish® North Dakota.

Tickets can be purchased at the door the days of the event. They also can be purchased in advance at Amarok Tattoo Studio in Fargo and Golden Needle Tattoo Studio in Moorhead.
Yes, Roughrider Ink & Iron is an all ages event. However, you must be at least 21 years old to enter High Point Lounge where Blue Belle’s Burlesque and live music will take place.

Both food and drink will be available for purchase during the event. Thunder Coffee will be selling an assortment of coffee beverages. There will also be beer and liquor for sale around the facility.
Patrons who would like a tattoo will need to contact an artist directly. Confirmed artists and their contact information can be found on our webpage: roughriderexpo.com/artists.
Patrons MUST BE 18 years of age to get tattooed at the expo.
Pricing will be decided by the artist performing the tattoo. Cost varies depending on color, size, intricacy, and numerous other factors including the skill level of the artist.
Roughrider Ink & Iron does not determine any tattoo pricing and has no decision-making involvement in what each artist charges.
Registry for all tattoo contests will take place at the event on the days they are awarded. Each contest category is a $5 registration fee.
Yes, you must be present to be win as judges critique the tattoos onsite. Contest winners will be announced at the end of each day.

All custom motorcycles will be on display beginning at doors open on Saturday, October 21st until the evening of October 22nd. The award ceremony for bike will be held on Sunday evening. Actual award times will be posted to our website and social media pages closer to the event.
Friday, October 20th is INK ONLY and the arena floor will be closed as bikes load-in.
Roughrider Ink & Iron welcomes ALL types of custom motorcycles to our event from vintage to modern and chopper to bobber.

Once completed, your submission will be reviewed by our team and you will be notified if your bike is chosen for the show. All motorcycles in the show are judged for the bike awards with no charge.

Danielle will be doing 2 one-hour meet & greet sessions on Sunday, October 22. Details and times will be announced as we near the event.
No, the meet & greet is free but you will need to entry into the event so a single-day ticket or three-day pass is required to enter the facility.
